How does a party that produced Roosevelt, Truman, and Kennedy fall to such a low as to produce Zohran
Mamdani, Grahm Platner, Darializa Avila Chevalier, Abdul El-Sayed, and James
Talarico? Have you listened to the
actual platforms? Have you seen or heard
the praise gushed on these platforms by Democrat leaders including AOC, Bernie, and Ro?
The recent rise of the Socialist wing of the Democrat party is
crazy. It is frightening! And it is beginning to get out of
control! It is also the beginning of the
DEATH of the Democrat party as we have known it, which will lead to the death
of America as we know it.
More and more Americans have been leaving the Democrat Party and joining the Republican Party or registering as
independents since President Donald Trump took office in 2025. The New York
Post reported in August 2025 that over 4.5 million Democrats left their party
since 2020. Conversely, the Republican Party gained over 2.5 million
registered voters. The Post further stated that, “Democrats are facing a
crisis.” (News
Journal; “Why Americans are Leaving the Democratic Party”; April 6, 2026).
Basically, there is a great schism taking place in the Democrat party today, and it has nothing to do with Trump and EVERYTHING to do with a lack of direction and focus by the Democrat party. The void left by a lack of vision and purpose has now been filled by an extreme progressive “Socialist” left that HAS a purpose and vision, and this vision is being sold 24/7 to all whom the Democrat party used to count on.
This “vision” is
not like the traditional Democrat platform of using the strength of the federal
government to provide and expand social programs complimenting a free
enterprise, mixed market economy to help the marginalized and poor. It is not based on the fight to protect the lower
and middle classes, the fight for fair wages and working conditions, and the efforts to lift
people out of poverty by providing opportunity and assistance to all. No… it is a platform presenting full blown Socialism
/ Marxism ideology, designed to eliminate private property, disperse the means
of production to the workers, with government takeover and control of output
and pricing, and the confiscation of personal wealth deemed “excessive” by
government. This platform has been sold
to the new generations through propaganda preached in universities,
social media, and coordinated information campaigns funded and produced by foreign
actors that have a specific goal in mind… the eradication of capitalism and elimination of the free western civilization as we know it. It has raged through the "progressive" faction of the Democrat party unchecked, and as a result, we are now facing the most
serious (and scariest) time of our nation's history. To be honest, I don’t
think the nation as we have known it will survive unless the Democrat party
takes the offensive to extinguish this movement within its own ranks.
What Democrat leadership fails to
realize… why they continue to face a growing rebellion across the country from “traditional Democrats” within the party as well as from the independent moderates who have
historically given them the “trust” vote…
they MUST distance themselves from the Progressive Socialist agenda, get
away from the “HATE TRUMP” platform, and present a platform of what they CAN do
for the people that will make Americans PROUD to be an American again! (Notice over
96% of Republicans say they are proud to be an American? VS 58% of Democrats and 59% of Independents –
YouGov
Survey, June 2026).
What the Democrat party continually fails to realize is the simple fact that Donald Trump was not elected by ALL 77,302,580
U.S. citizens who voted for him. His PLATFORM was! And of even more consequence, many votes were
cast not as an endorsement of the Trump platform, but as a direct REJECTION of what had been experienced through the previous four years under the Biden administration... a trajectory of incompetence and a complete indifference by the ruling class to non-progressive liberals (fellow Americans)... actions that the Democrat party promised to continue through the installation of a Kamala Harris administration. Knowing distancing themselves from the previous administration was not possible due to having no new platform to present that could be attractive to all (or at least the majority of) Americans, the HATE TRUMP campaign reached epic heights. AND IT FAILED! Though a candidate stronger than Kamala
Harris could have possibly fared better, it would have been due to the ability
of a candidate TO BETTER SELL the ANTI-TRUMP message... NOT the ability to sell
a better “vision” of America. The party
didn’t have one. They still don’t.
The party platform of open borders, unchecked immigration, men in women’s sports and spaces, medical mutilation of children's sexual organs under the guise
of “sexual identity mental health”, celebrating transgender communities,
promoting sexual content to kids in schools and libraries, unlimited funding of
private sector NGOs sending BILLIONS of US tax dollars to far-left causes
overseas, tax increases with no accountability of spending, the war on fossil
fuels, prohibition of common household items such as gas appliances (furnaces, water
heaters, stoves) and automobiles (elimination of gas cars by 2030), sky-high
inflation due to economic policies, elimination of school choice, attacks
against religious freedom… ALL were simply rejected and sparked extremely high turnouts in the 2024 election for the Republican platform. (Check out my post from
August 14, 2024 prior to the election – “SO
WHAT about 2024 Policy!”) Though
the Democrat candidates claimed they were not for these policies, the actions through four years of the Biden administration and the appointment of Ms. Harris as the torch bearer for the Democrats promised otherwise.
The voters then and now show that the policies of the left are NOT in line with their values and do not represent what is important to them. A late March poll by CNN asked voters, “Do congressional Democrats have the right priorities?” Overall, 74% of voters said “no.” The skepticism extended to Democrats themselves: 55% of Democrats or people who lean Democrat said, “no.” (USA Journal News: April 2026). As such, the party MUST re-evaluate its platform and purpose.
They must LISTEN to Americans
and structure a new party platform around how they can achieve what Americans
want! And in doing so, they MUST
distance themselves from the issues Americans do NOT want! The platform can no longer be about left
causes ONLY. It should support their
primary ideology of governing and legislation, but it can do this without threatening
those on the right. It must be inclusive
for all Americans. They can no longer villainize
the right (MAGA deplorables) and disregard the right in pushing the platform narrative. This is too divisive. They must find a way to present a solid
platform that does not produce an anti- platform reaction from the right and
center. This is the only way they will get
voters back… and it isn't through the DSA platform!!!
In addition, everyone is TIRED of
the fighting between the parties in Congress and on the campaign trails. The US Congress is experiencing the WORST
ratings in the history of its existence.
This is not a fluke. It is the
result of the constant fighting between the parties and inability to get anything
of consequence done without changing rules or forcing legislation through using
archaic back-door options that leave one side or the other without any voice or
contribution. People want common sense
legislation that fixes current issues and paves the way for prosperity for
all. With everyone on the left simply
voting NO on anything from the right simply to ensure Trump and Republicans can’t
get a “win”, they further anger the majority of the voting base. Then the right retaliates. Congress shuts down and the people get angrier.
IT MUST STOP!
The Democrat party continues to
focus on “Hate Trump”, promoting political rage against MAGA in an effort to sway
voters to vote Democrat to “Save Democracy” and “Promote Decency”. Their internal research and party polling
indicates over 48% of their base believe they should “fight Trump harder”. (PEW
Research Poll – 10/30/2025). As a
result, party leadership doubles down on this 48% call to action. But all Democrat registrations in the
US total about 82 million voters, while the Republican and Independent voters combine
for over 135 million voters (IndependentVoterProject.org). The 48% they listen to only represents about
39 million voters of the 217 million registered voters. That is only ~18%!!! That doesn't win elections.
The average American voter remains
against the same issues they were against in the 2024 election and don’t see
the Democrat Party as having anything else to bring to the table. As much as they preach “Trump Bad”, the platform
still offers no other solution or alternative. They build slogans and
campaigns off mis-direction, half-truths, and mis-information in an effort to “scare”
voters to gain support (Republicans will kill democracy, take away rights of LGBTQ+
citizens, take away your right to vote, take away women’s rights, take away health
insurance, they are racists, they are homophobic, they are transphobic, they
are Islamophobic, they are Nazis, the kill citizens, they hate immigrants, etc., etc., etc.).
Given the void in messaging as to
what the Democrat party platform is today or will actually do for Americans, the
DSA has emerged with a message and platform that is by default the new Democrat
platform. This becomes clearer every day
as party leadership refrains from distancing itself from these candidates and
what they represent. And as a result, as
noted earlier, the party is losing members while imploding on itself.
Some members of the party understand
this. There are a few who are seeing the
shocking rise of the DSA wing and are beginning to publicly
reject it, albeit too little and too late to stop this crazy, lunatic fringe prior
to it metastasizing into an actual formidable force. But the number of party members calling this
movement out is too small and too slow. The
majority of the party continues sticking to the “Trump is Bad” strategy and in
an effort to appear unified as a party, publicly deflects criticism of the DSA
wing by saying the party is just a “big tent” that welcomes “all ideas”. They are MISSING THE POINT! THE PEOPLE DON’T WANT THIS IDEALOGY! Even more, the people are longing for true
leadership, solid ideas, fresh energy, and common ground politics that we all
benefit from. And though the Republican party is presenting a platform, the American people want options to debate and consider.
And the fear of what the Democrat party will do if they regain power is real! They consistently state publicly their intent to end the filibuster, pack the court, and add Puerto Rico and Washington D.C. as states. Many of the “voices” from the left appearing on “news” shows from CNN to Fox News Sunday claim this simply isn’t the case and is just "fear mongering" by the Right, but too many in power positions within the party are on record saying it will be paramount if they regain control of the government.
During a recent “Win with Black Women” call, Kamala Harris discussed ideas ranging from expanding
the Supreme Court to granting statehood to Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico,
while also signaling support for eliminating the Electoral College. (Slay
News; May 2026). Democrat Strategist
James Carville stressed Democrats should add two states and expand the Supreme
Court in order to “Save Democracy” (The
Hill: August 2025). And with the Supreme
Court just yesterday issuing two new rulings regarding immigration,
the calls for court packing are at a feverish pitch today! See MSN’s

published just yesterday on the subject! The Democrats are not
looking at ways to introduce legislation to change immigration policy. They want to simply ignore and / or re-interpret
laws as they see fit. Court packing IS their
agenda, though the majority of Americans (58%) oppose expanding the Supreme
Court. (Political.org;
May 2026).
Had it not been for 2 stalwart
Democrat senators who understood and respected the purpose of the Senate (Manchin
and Gillibrand), the Left during the Biden administration would have eliminated the filibuster, packed the
court to ensure the constitution became obsolete, created statehood for
Washington DC, and eliminated the Electoral College during the Biden
administration, all in an effort to solidify long-term party rule and clear the
way to simply force all of these 80-20 issues down the throats of ALL Americans.
The democrats WILL make this a priority
for 2026 and 2028… and if they win, these actions are all but guaranteed. This FIRES UP and motivates the right (as
well as moderates and independents) to vote against the left. POLICY must be
addressed by the Democrats.
If the Democrat party wants to
take back the country and win back the moderate independents, they could do so
by making 3 major shifts.
1. 1st and MOST IMPORTANT!!!! DISTANCE themselves from the DSA wing of the party! KICK THEM OUT of the party. Force them to form their own party in place of taking the resources that should belong to the Democrats. DEMONIZE the DSA platform and candidates! MOVE AWAY from the controversies! Show that the traditional America loved by Roosevelt, Truman, Kennedy, and Clinton is still an idea worth chasing!
2. Start finding ways to PUBLICALLY work with the current administration, especially on 80-20 issues. Instead of consistently villainizing Trump at every turn, find common ground issues and promote the ability to find common ground. Show humility by giving credence and support to ideas that are actually GOOD ideas from the right. Use issues such as the SAVE Act as a bargaining chip to find compromise on other issues important to the Democrats (immigration reform, tax reform, healthcare reform). The SAVE Act does not disenfranchise voters and they know this. This is just an attack line to further demonize the republican party in the eyes of their base. But the majority of voters know this… which is why it is truly an 80-20 issue. Pass the SAVE act and publicly call for a mass movement to spend resources they have been using to attack the Republicans on the issue into making sure EVERY POTENTIAL VOTER is registered according to the new rules and will be able to cast their vote according to the new rules. Their ACTIONS become the catalyst to show WHY and HOW they are the PARTY that truly champions the voter! Calling the SAVE Act “Jim Crow” is ludicrous and they know it. It is a LOSING position. The 2022 Georgia elections proved this. Such a move would also begin to show that they are actually interested in governing for the people and are working to champion their IDEALS. Unless they are actually trying to protect fraud, this would be a “can’t lose” move!
3.
STOP ATTACKING LAW ENFORECMENT! And use a new angle of “wanting to support
ICE and CBP” to call republicans to the table on how true “reform” can take
place so both ICE and CBP can do their job enforcing current immigration laws, secure
our border and protect our people, while taking the advice and suggestions of
the left on how to make sure these departments do so without infringing on
basic human rights. Force the
republicans to make changes in policy by making the policies the issue and not
the officers enforcing them. Show
appreciation for the person and direct frustration with the laws… WHICH THEY CAN
CHANGE! Democrats can force the change
of public opinion of the party if they show they truly want to work for the
people through legislation, are willing to make compromises when / where
necessary, and are not a party of anger and hatred.
Attracting more flies with honey
than vinegar is not just a cliché… it’s a fact.
The Democrat party must stop being the party of attacks and become the
party of solutions. Trump will not be
around after 2028, and his successor will not carry the same targets Trump
presents. J.D. Vance and Marco Rubio continue
to increase their likability with the mass voters of the nation as a whole. To save themselves, the Democrat party MUST
be able to show why the platform is better, not why the Republican party is bad. They need to show why their policies are
better and why the Republican policies are flawed. And the Democrat party needs to begin showing
a desire to heal the nation rather than further dividing it. They need to show they can work together with Republicans for ALL Americans. If they can focus on this… if they can spend
the next 2½ years showing the ability and desire to work for solutions FOR ALL and
truly govern with the best interests of the nation in mind and not just those on the left, and distance
themselves from the lunacy of the Socialist / Marxist “progressive” wing, they just
may be able to have the opportunity to save their party and raise the bar for
what both parties bring to the table in 2028!
Unfortunately, I just don’t see
it happening. Egos and Anger are both in
the way, and I don’t see these leaving the democrat platform anytime soon. I hope they prove me wrong! I actually like owning my own house!
